On slowing down and the existence of God

Self-Improvement

For the first time in a long time, I have a mild cold that is forcing me to take fewer meetings and slow down.

I ponder on the importance of slowing down to speed up.

We, as entrepreneurs, have a burning desire that our plan works out and that it must work out as fast as possible. We want it all — returns, results, relationships, money, power. We want to have empathy and believe in our ability to have made a difference. We want to love and be loved.

Who doesn’t?

Synchronicity is a fundamental part of our lives.

Who is out there organizing things the way they are?

Nature has perfect systems. The best founders have suspending disbeliefs that they are out there to build their empires.

They are special. We only invest in particular, somewhat crazy people — well-mannered misfits.

Everything that is happening to you happens for a reason. We are an insignificant part of a larger plan.

During my morning meditation/prayer, I opened two different books today. The same message came up. Both are talking about religious experiences, in different ways, with similar meanings.

One book, Day by Day: A Daily Praise Offering - 365 days with The Lord, was gifted by someone exceptional in my life, talked about this biblical passage.

"Truly I say to you, Whatever you a bind on the earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Again, truly I say to you that if two of you are in harmony on earth concerning any matter for which they ask, it will be done for them from My Father who is in the heavens." (Matthew 18:18 — 18:19)

As I opened Book V of Meditations from Marcus Aurelius, this passed came up as well:

“Accept everything which happens, even if it seem disagreeable because it leads to this, the health of the universe and to the prosperity and felicity of Zeus. For he would not have brought on any man what he has brought if it were not useful for the whole. The integrity of the whole is mutilated if thou cuttest off anything. And thou dost cut off, as far as it is in thy power when thou art dissatisfied, and, in a manner, triest to put anything out of the way."

It is all about the journey, not the final destination.

Daily you will be presented with potential opportunities. Enemies will try to destroy you. Others will support and empower you.

Open your mind with calm.

Reflect on the pathways that you are not indestructible.

Give and receive the wealth of the world in its eternal essence.

Put that intention out there as you close deals, raise money, recruit people and build your empire.

All are made through a pathway of commonality and synchronicity.

Life is a daily journey to the path of abundance and moderation.
