During the past 15 days, I have had many people around me contract COVID-19. Folks in multiple parts of the US, Europe, and Brazil.
Fortunately, all were vaccinated and no severe cases, although I have observed two cases of “long-covid”, which does seem a bit scary, especially given the brain fog that many talks about.
I was looking at the numbers this morning and was surprised that yesterday we had over 100,000 registered infections in the US.
A similar number that 12 months ago would have been extremely alarming.
Like many diseases, we have finally adapted and learned how to live with yet another challenge.
Human resilience is fantastic. I am thankful for the fact that I have not caught anything, despite traveling extensively.
Have a blessed weekend.
Last week I faced an awkward situation over LinkedIn messages. One person was doing one of the most distasteful things in business etiquette.
Failure isn't great. It is all about flow, rapid iteration and evolution. And I plan on dying more than 100,000 times during the course of this life.
As a Venture Capitalist, you must be able to sell (1) you and the firm, (2) the company, and (3) returns. Sell these 3 well and you might win in VC.
