“How much better to heal than seek revenge from injury. Vengeance wastes a lot of time and exposes you to many more injuries than the first that sparked it. Anger always outlasts hurt. Best to take the opposite course. Would anyone think it normal to return a kick to a mule or a bite to a dog?”
— Seneca, On Anger, 3.27.2
When someone lies, steals, or takes something from you it is always better to let it go, since fighting fire with fire will always create more damage than do good.
Instead of getting mad, focus on helping and serving others.
When you operate at a higher frequency you attract opportunities and development.
You will get what you give.
“The law of non-interference with nature - The law of non-interference with nature is a basic principle of Taoism that one should be in harmony with, not rebellion against, the fundamental laws of the universe. Preserve yourself by following the natural bends of things and don’t interfere. Remember never to assert yourself against nature; never be in frontal opposition to any problems, but to control it by swinging with it.”
— Bruce Lee, Striking Thoughts, On First Principles
I am a voracious reader. For me, it is extremely important to read at least for 45 minutes every day. The days I read are better than the ones I don't.
In this episode I had a chat with my great friend Kevin Lee. The determination and Hustle Kevin Lee has is hard to find and inspires me.
This chapter of The War of Art is perfect. Instead of writing something today, I’ve decided to re-publish in its entirety.
